HOW SAINTS READ THE BIBLE. (2)
Dangers to Bible Reading Believers.
1. Beware of using your own ideology learned from your culture, life’s experiences, and your ingrained bias adopted from eminent speakers from your own church.

2. Remember the Bible never contradicts itself
(a) Scripture in a number of places uses antinomy of two opposing truths next to each other which seem to contradict each other, and human logic will never fully understand them. If it did then salvation would be logical. It is spiritual and only the spiritual can understand. Understanding does not come from the human mind but from the Holy Spirit. Only those possessing Him within will gain spiritual discernment. (1 Cor. 2)

(b) It is not accessible from mere human analysis, human effort.
“But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom…but God has revealed them unto us by his Spirit…now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.” (1st Corinthians 2:7-14.)

(c). Two opposite Bible doctrines must not make you reject one for the other.

3. Once you do this your mind is closed and then you use your own ideology as the interpreting filter and arbiter of truth. Search the scriptures, but never graduate as a student of the Word.

4. The Age of Enlightenment raised the human mind to be god in theology. This caused 2,000+ Christian sects and denominations to spawn in the 19th Century.

5. The disastrous effects led to the humanizing of Bible believing churches with the demise of intercessory prayer gatherings, and radical conversions now classed as old fashioned and belonging to another era.

6. The roots of today’s apostasy:
(a). 18th C Higher Bible criticism
(b) textual criticism
(c). new inferior Bible versions based on Westcott and Hort’s 19th C revised Greek Text rejected that of Erasmus (1519) and the Received Text of Stephanus
(d). The anti-Reformation tendency of Protestants rejected the 16th & 17th C English Bibles under the pretext of modernizing English.
(e). Rationalism began to doubt the content and accuracy of Scripture.
(f). As Eve in Eden listened to Satan’s same ploy to doubt what God had said so the church was tempted to do likewise.
(g). The 19th C pulpit plague of private interpretation produced weird sensationalist evangelism by stage performers with the gift of the gab speaking extemporarily and pandering to emotionalism
(h). Its easy-religion made salvation a common consumer package for the masses.
(i). Among the moral majority the preacher became a law unto himself using his liberty for license in the evangelical and fundamental wings.
(j). Early 20th C bibliolatry idolized certain words, phrases and verses of holy writ to promote and justify any new fangled doctrine in the personality cults of the mega church movement that spread from the USA
(k). The guru in the pulpit became more important than the whole counsel of the Scripture.

7. Amid an era of doubting Scripture’s meaning believers become confused.

8. Hundreds of new, but erroneous modern translations amplify the confusion and believers increasingly trust the preacher, instead of the Holy Spirit to interpret the Scriptures.

1 John 2:27 KJV
“But the anointing which you have received of him abides in you, and you need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, you shall abide in him.”

BEST BIBLE READING HABITS. (1 of 5)

Habits to Avoid When Reading the Bible.(1 of 5)
The combined advice of the prophets, the apostles, and Jesus suggest that it is counter-productive to the spirit of holy writ to use reason as the key to understanding. Thus, their joint counsel warns the reader to avoid:-
1. Intellectual analyses
2. Philosophical analyses
3. Interpreting the Word through reason, syllogism, induction, and deduction,
4. Comparing it to your own experience
5. Interpreting the Bible using one or two favourite Bible phrases, as the arbiters of all other truths thus pragmatically overriding what the whole counsel of Scripture declares on a given doctrine. Making one verse to be a corrector of other related verses is not only flawed pragmatism but also giving excessive reverence to one above another part of God’s inspired Word. This habit is called bibliolatry and popularly used by cults and sects in Christendom.
6. Do not use your own understanding
7. Do not look for the kernel of truth to cast aside lesser truth.

VEXING QUESTIONS ON BAPTISM (Epilogue)

DOES SALVATION DEPEND ON BAPTISM?

REVIEW OF THE FACTS:
There are three separate apostolic commissions.
1. On unnamed mountain in Galilee: Matthew 28:19 baptism invoking trinity.
2. On unnamed mountain in Galilee: Mark 16:16: compulsory baptism under threat of damnation
3. On Mount of Olives at Jerusalem: Luke 24; John 20; Acts 1: no water baptism required.
Mark 16:16. St. Mark is the only place in the Gospels that Jesus made baptism a compulsory prerequisite to gain salvation, notwithstanding the old water of separation invoked by Ananias upon Saul of Tarsus at Damascus after his conversion and regeneration by the blood of Christ. (Acts 22:16)

CREDIBILITY OF MARK 16: 16.
This enforced link between water and sin’s remission, under threat of damnation for non-compliance, is unique to the whole New Testament. This was not even hinted by John the Baptist or Jesus.

A cross section of Bible literati and academia with the best scholars versed in original languages agree that this last half of the chapter was lost and replaced during or after the 4th century A.D. This was about the same period in which the first Latin Bible was scribed by Constantine’s scholars.

The most ancient Greek manuscripts of the New Testament originated at this time. They are the Codex Vaticanus now in Rome and the Codex Sinaiticus in the British Library, the only entire copy of the original Greek New Testament in existence.

NOTE WELL!
The rapidly increasing bibliolatry, especially right wing fundamentalism (i.e. the KJV is the only Bible in heaven) in the last 60 years, rejects any exhaustive analyses of key self evident doctrines by harmonizing the Gospels and the Epistles through the lives of Jesus, Peter and Paul. This includes the history of the early church by Dr. Luke in the Acts of the Apostles. Most of the 2, 800 different Christian sects and denominations created in the 19th century were through bibliolatry. E.g. by the process of dishonest pragmatism key a few key verses wrested away from the context are used as the arbiter of the rest of Scripture to support a new fangled doctrine, rejected elsewhere by the prophets, the apostles and Christ’s teachings.

SEEKERS DISTRACTED BEFORE CONVERSION

HOW SEEKERS ARE DISTRACTED BEFORE REGENERATION

AWAKENING. The call of Christ to follow him= AWAKENING (is not conversion)

LEARNING The pilgrimage of the disciple is ‘hearing and LEARNING of the Father’ (is not conversion)

The wily practices of the pulpit-personality-cult-leader

Among certain sects clergy skilfully produce subtle mystical moods by exciting extra-sensory emotions. Increasingly a growing number, use the euphoric art to mesmerize a religious crowd.

They borrow the euphoric mass catatonic art used by primitive spiritists and animist tribes, leading to involuntary verbal ejaculations and aberrant body movements.

With this carefully tailored skill gullible congregations accustomed to phenomenological signs of the paranormal become prey to personality cult leaders. These false prophets masquerade as ministers of Christ and are described by the prophet in Ezekiel Chapters 13 and 34.

Other leaders of mega churches use positivist psychology, subtle background music, and stage song leaders who have been trained to produce an air of expectancy awaiting mystical manifestations.

Some revel in promoting transitory out-of-body experiences as signs of blessing and their own individual power with God.

King Saul who was troubled by an evil spirit manifested these states dramatically. Similar behavioural manifestations are often encountered in primitive civilizations.

Many of the claims by current day churches to the manifestation of the Holy Spirit arte doubtful indeed. This is why the apostle John warns the saints to try the spirits to see whether they are of God. Members of Churchianity will be gulled, because they are goats or pilgrim goats. The sheep, however, will not be deceived by the multitude of hirelings that pose as pastors in the pulpits of Christendom.

THE EMOTIONAL SIDE TRACK

When the seeker is misled this way into Christianity he ceases to seek God wholeheartedly. He mistakes the magic of water-wine-wafer sacraments to be divine; or repeats the words of prompted declarations and prayers; or makes a one-time impetuous emotional response to a preacher, as the way to become a Christian. But “they that seek me shall find me.” “They that hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled.” “There is a way that seems right unto man, but the tends thereof are the ways of death.” “On that day many shall say, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not done mighty works in your name’. Jesus will said the answer will be: ‘Depart from me for I never knew you’.”

ABORTED PILGRIMAGE

This is all the more tragic when the pilgrim, after the first two stages, stops short of the goal,: namely, enlightenment, repentance, faith, hope and love. These are instilled as gifts from the risen Lord and usher the seeker into real Christianity.

Freewill is a humanistic path crediting man with an ability and faith he does not possess. The average churchman conveniently compresses all three stages of the pilgrimage into one sacrament; one affirmation, or one emotional experience decision.

Millions of pilgrims abort their journey to become spurious Christians each day when they are misled by priest, minister, preacher or evangelist. Once they stop seeking their hope lies alone in false hope and the limit of their taste of the kingdom is awareness of the Lord’s eternal presence WITH them: eternal life.

They have a form of godliness, but not the regenerating indwelling Holy Spirit WITHIN them. As such even morality and upright purpose falls short of eternal life.
